Does anyone read the community newspapers that get delivered free of charge to your house each week?
I got talking to a guy at a BBQ who owns a business that does a lot of advertising in the locals. In fact, more than 90% of their annual marketing budget is spent on print media. In the internet age, 90% is a massive chunk to be spending on non-targeted advertising that may never be read by your target market. After a little bit of probing I discovered that this is a classic case of “we have to be in there, it’s where our customers first hear about us” syndrome. Together we did some analysis on where the PAYING customers come from and found that it was about 50/50 between print media and Google Adwords. Now why would you spend 9x the amount on print advertising to get the same number of paying clients from online marketing? These figures are very hard to ignore – it doesn’t make any sense at all!
As a result he’s re-thinking his whole strategy and is absolutely stoked to think that with a little bit of experimentation, he’s going to attract many more customers for less spend.
If this sounds like you or you would like to discuss online advertising or any other marketing issue facing your business then you should get in touch with us without delay.

We have done web design for 5 years and have a few tips for everyone. First, do not use fancy fonts that are unreadable. This may be singing to the choir, but I can’t tell you how many sites I come through with these simple issues. Oh and one other tip, Make sure your website is cross-browser compatible.
Currently traveling in between Miami and Florida, reading this on my Blackberry. Will read it in full when I get back, and I will also post a link on my own internet site. Many thanks.
Interesting…and I agree in the most part. Keep up the excellent work…I will undoubtedly be back soon
I’ve bookmarked this because I found it interesting. I would be extremely keen to hear more info on this. Cheers!
I find myself coming to your blog more and more often to the point where my visits are almost daily now!
